Job Description : Position SummaryPlan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations. Establish work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.Essential Job FunctionsTrain, develop, and manage a team of operations plannersDevelop labor models to best utilize workforce and assets while driving down costsDevelop labor schedules across a complex hub-spoke model in order to best utilize assets and labor in order to drive down costCreate operational and driver KPI dashboardsRecommend and implement continuous improvement projectsUtilize large data sets to forecast future demand based on historical trendsWork with Operations and Industrial Engineering to develop and maintain all SOPsTravel independently up to 25% on a regular basisMaintain flexibility to work weekends on an occasional basisMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering or a business-related field2+ years of analytical experience with an emphasis on warehouse, fulfillment center, logistics or transportationAny operations planning, headcount planning or industrial engineering experienceProvide excellent customer service, both internal and external customersAbility to preserve confidentiality of informationExcellent analytical skillsAbility to delegate and follow up on assignments while striving for resultsMust be organized and ability to multi-taskProficient in Microsoft Office programsDesired Previous Experience/Education2+ years of experience managing a team3+ years operations planning, headcount planning, or industrial engineering experienceEducation Level: Bachelor’s DesiredRequired Travel: Up to 25%Required Certifications/Licenses: NonePosition Type: Full-TimeRegions: MountainStates: ColoradoKeywords: Operations; Planning; Planner; Manager; ManagementJobs at Kroger Logistics: To supportand reward our hardworking and friendly associates, we offer much more than just a paycheck.
