Job Description : Join our team at The Eagle Valley Community Foundation!This person in this role will be the initial point of contact for individuals experiencing homelessness in Eagle County. The main goal will be to connect these individuals to available resources.This role will be a part of the MIRA Bus team, and considered a key contributor in this new project in Eagle County with the purpose of helping homeless individuals. Additionally, this person will be doing data entry and administrative work. This person will work closely and collaboratively with a peer in the same role.Appropriate training will be provided to set up this position for success. This role will have a flexible work schedule. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to help our community and impact people’s lives!Responsibilities include: Provide street outreach and services connections to individuals experiencing homelessness in Eagle County.Visit communities and neighborhoods to engage with neighbors, property managers, and with individuals experiencing homelessness.Work with partner organizations in identifying individuals who might be experiencing homelessness, and follow up on referrals.Work with clients to determine needs.Process paper intake applications or registration forms for services, and assist with maintaining an organized and updated database of clients.Provide ongoing support and follow through with clients.Create and maintain a positive relationship with all clients (past, current or potential).Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers, clients and the general public.Ability to provide social and emotional support when needed in different situations, and should display empathy and understanding with all clients.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant professional experience preferred, including:Social work, and/orCustomer Service, and/orCommunity workMust be able to have reliable transportation to visit different locations in Eagle County (excluding El Jebel)Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsHigh attention to detail to complete accurate paper formsSelf motivated by a desire to help those in need and going through hardshipMust have a positive attitude and be service orientedBilingual in Spanish and English preferredBenefits: Professional development opportunitiesFlexible work scheduleEmployee Assistance ProgramEagle Valley Community Foundation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
