Position : Plant Manager
Job Description : Ohio Blow Pipe, a division of Innoveyance, the leader in under roof air conveying, trim/scrap removal systems, cyclone-based systems, and dust collection, is in search of a Plant Manager.Description: The Plant Manager is responsible for directing Fabrication, Assembly and Shipping/receiving functions in order to meet business objectives. He or she is accountable for all aspects of plant performance and will ensure that objectives are attained in the most cost-effective manner that is consistent with quality and safety requirements. This position is a key decision maker and escalation point for Manufacturing related issues or decisions. This position will have a specific focus on improving productivity/throughput and quality through continuous improvement and will be expected to collaborate with Engineering and other support resources on short and long-term improvements.Duties and Responsibilities· Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations· Responsible for Hiring/Termination and ensuring consistent enforcement of all shop rules· Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that all safety policies and procedures are enforced· Oversee all shipments, incoming inventory, and storage operations· Responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance of Plant Equipment and Facilities· Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives for sustained results· Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping· Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and other operational expenses· Drive plant cleanliness and organization· Effectively collaborate with corporate safety and Continuous Improvement resourcesRequirements and Qualifications: · High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred, but not necessary.· 3-5 years’ previous experience as a production manager, supervisor, or related position· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)· Strong management skills with ability to supervise multiple teams· Strict adherence to company standards and safety procedures· Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently· Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills· Outstanding communication skills, ability to motivate, mentor and inspire· Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management· Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds· Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions· Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilitiesWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee can at times be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
