If so, this is the job for you.Our company is looking for a contract Purocurement Lead who can analyze our current vendor relationships, buying procedures, and systems to create the best methods for day-to-day purchasing operations. The Procurement Lead helps to establishing purchasing department goals based on our school partners inventory needs and enrollment projections for the coming school year. If you are a skilled negotiator with some experience in the book/publishing/retai/school/university industry, please apply today.Role and Responsibilities: · Help to manage the company’s day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that purchasing agents are meeting department performance standards· Propose improvements to the current purchasing process that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of doing business· Be able to negotiate ad manage contracts· Keep the internal system up to date· Manage inventory, budgets, and accounting updates· Collaborates with internal and external teams to ensure timely reportingThis list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and can be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as deemed necessary.Required Qualifications: Degree in Business Administration or other relevant academic disciplines3+ years in purchasing roleExperience in Purchasing plan development and implementationExcellent communication and decision-making skillsExperience successfully managing multiple projectsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExperience with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience in book selling/retail purchasing is a plusExperience working with publishers of educational materials for schools is a plusTextbookHub is an equal opportunity employer.
