The Role

BuzzFeed is looking for a Project Manager + Producer to lead a new partnership with an experimental vertical video app (no, it’s not TikTok, but they would also get to work on TikTok strategy if interested). This person will manage the ideation, logistics, coordination and execution of this project for the initial 3 month phase, with the option to continue if the project is successful. This Is a 40/hour a week position that can be done remotely, with access to the LA or NYC office space if needed. Compensation for this role is $30-40/hour commensurate with experience.
You Will

Lead brainstorming, selecting, editing, fun and entertaining short form video content on a platform like TikTok
Manage a collaborative team of writers and producers creating content
Manage distribution process for video assets
Manage communication with social and publishing teams to coordinate distribution
Analyze performance data to inform further strategy
You Have

Stellar communication, time management & organization skills
Experience project managing, ideally across multiple teams
Interest in short-form video content (big plus for experience creating short-form video on TikTok, Reels and/or Youtube Shorts)
Interest in data around user engagement, and ability to iterate on success
Interest in being on camera a big plus
