Job Description : Blue Bird Corporation has been designing, building, selling, and servicing the world’s finest school bus since 1927. We have grown to become a billion-dollar school bus manufacturer headquartered in Macon, GA with manufacturing facilities located just 30 minutes south in Fort Valley, GA.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Receptionist is the forward-facing ambassador of Blue Bird Corporation. He/she is responsible for greeting and receiving all internal and external visitors and directing them appropriately. He/she is also responsible for answering all incoming calls and correspondence, and performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure the organization’s ongoing success.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welcome visitors, either in person or on the telephone, and direct them appropriately.
Answer, screen and forward all incoming phone calls to the appropriate person
Respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Receive, sort and distribute daily mail and deliveries; manage outgoing mail
Ensure the reception area is clean, neat and meets established safety protocols
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Order front office supplies, track inventory and issue visitor and employee access badges
Maintain the transfer log and scan various documents
Utilize the HRIS system to assist employees with inquiries regarding attendance points etc.
Help employees to access the internal payroll database
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with job bids or other internal job openings
Assist with DOL inquiries and processing partial claims
Uphold the Company’s vision, mission and standards
Provide day-to-day support to the HR Business unit
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, SKILLS, & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED; college degree, preferred
3-5 years of previous professional office experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Professional attitude and appearance
Sense of ownership and pride in individual performance and understands the impact of their performance on the company’s success
Team player who possess a strong customer-service mindset
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of office equipment (printers, copiers, etc.)
Proactive and resourceful
