Job Description : PRIMARY PURPOSE: Virginia Eye Consultants a member of CVP Physicians, is looking for a Scheduling Agent, responsible for answering and triaging incoming calls, taking messages and scheduling appointments. Position requires patient, physician, staff, vendor contact, and general public telephonic contact. Representatives must exhibit pleasant phone voice, good manners, be professional in conduct, and have the ability to listen. She/he must demonstrate skill in operating a computer and answering a multi-line phone system.Duty / Responsibility1. Demonstrates quality patient service during interactions with patients, coworkers, and vendorsExhibits a positive attitude and is flexible in accepting work assignments and prioritiesMeets attendance and tardiness expectationsIs dependable; follows policies and proceduresMaintains professionalism in interactions with patients and coworkersPerforms quality work and consistently exhibits initiativeAdopts and displays CVPs Mission, Vision, and Values in word and deed2. Call Handling. Promptly answer, triage and direct incoming calls from patients, vendors, employees, and health care providers in a professional polite manner. After handling each call resume ready status as quickly as possible in order to handle an appropriate number of calls and achieve the average number of calls per day goal.3. Direct messages to appropriate staff ensuring that messages are clear and distributed promptly. Prepare and mail patient packets on assigned schedule. Accurately respond to inquiries about directions, hours, services, locations, and physicians.4.
