Position : Spanish Speaking Office Assistant
Job Description : We are looking for a competent Office Assistant who is proficient in both English and Spanish to help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office support tasks and work diligently under pressure. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists Office Manager in maintaining central calendar of events including all appointments for CRCNY, trial and deposition dates, and meetings/phone conferences with doctors, clients, attorneys and other specialists.Performs back-up support to Office Manager regarding telephone coverage, forwarding messages to appropriate staff.Distributes incoming correspondence and sends outgoing correspondence as requested.Responsible for ordering/maintaining office supplies, equipment, and printing supplies to include letterhead, forms, business cards, etc.Assists with client file maintenance. Organizes files and shreds closed files.Organizes medical records received and places in chronological order.Opens and assigns new client file in computer within client database.Verifies status of case and any dates associated.Assists with test administration and scoring as needed.Assists with Spanish interpretation.Serves as back-up for timesheet entry.Any other duties as requested by the Office Manager and/or Clinical Director and/or Vice President.Must properly maintain such records as the daily timesheet, listing all information – client name, activity, time spent, etc., all according to the Procedures Manual.REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:Job references.College graduate or equivalent experience.Typing at 45 wpm.Proficient in both English and SpanishProfessional telephone manner.Computer literate.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftAbility to commute/relocate:New York, NY 10016: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Customer service: 4 years (Preferred)Language:Spanish (Required)Work Location: One location
