Position Summary
The Specialist, Internal Communications – Multimedia position requires creativity and energy, strong problem-solving and storytelling skills, and an innate desire to engage employee groups through targeted internal communications. The Specialist is responsible for leveraging the latest media and technology to create clear and compelling stories that inform and engage employees. This position is responsible for producing the company’s award-winning employee magazine, Ho’ike, and leveraging a variety of current and future channels to ensure that our employees stay informed about their company and its mission.
Key Responsibilities
Develop multimedia and digital solutions designed to improve or enhance communications to internal audiences
Deploy emerging technologies for visual and multimedia communications; to include the intranet and digital signage capabilities
Partner with the company’s editorial team to produce creative assets for company communications
Create, shoot, edit, and deploy engaging photo and video content
Manage the infrastructure and platforms for all employee communications, including: web, video, mobile, print, and graphic design
Build and maintain solid relationships with internal stakeholders to support the company’s overall goal of engaging its workforce
Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, as needed
Develop employee communication content and orchestrate its delivery through appropriate channels within the company
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, marketing, art, or related field or equivalent work experience
Three years of internal communications, corporate communications, public relations and/or experience in a related field
Deadline-oriented, self-starter, strong sense of design, resourceful
Experience working in Adobe Creative programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and InDesign
Working knowledge and understanding of photography
Working knowledge and understanding of graphic design
Working knowledge and understanding of web development
Expertise in videography and video editing
Must have received the COVID Vaccine by date of hire

Experience in Social Media management

Familiarity with Hawaiian culture and customs
