Job Description : SUMMARYThe Bagger Packer performs the role of providing support to packaging and production operations by performing processes which include, but are not limited to, procuring and placing bags on packaging equipment, hauling scrap, salvaging insulation and feeding same into reconditioning equipment, transporting direct materials, cleaning designated equipment and areas, loading material onto ware-trucks, and operating designated vehicles. Sets up, operates, monitors, adjusts, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment related to these processes.Measures, monitors and maintains quality standards.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Visually inspects, selects and packages products according to process and product characteristics.Positions, loads, and unloads, ware trucks and racksDisposes of off-quality material or other waste materialRe-piles, re-labels or repacks finished goods as directedNotifies appropriate personnel of any equipment or quality problemsParticipates in Oven Clean Outs, Regular Clean Outs, rebuilds and other downtimesAssists in adjustment of equipment and in moving materialsAssists in clearing jams and in arranging the work area during job changesPacks, tapes, and loads boxes on trucksChalks, labels or otherwise marks products as directedHauls culletPerforms cleanup duties as requiredAssists supervisor in trainingParticipates in the safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the plantRelieves operators in the areaPerforms other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisorComplies with all plant rules, safety regulations and maintains a clean and orderly work areaComplies with attendance policiesSKILLS AND ABILITIESThe employee should hold the following abilities:Must be able to read, write and speak EnglishMust be able to understand verbal and written instructionsMust possess strong communication and organizational skillsMust have the ability to multi-taskMust have strong customer service skillsMust work well in team environmentMust be able to secure and maintain fork lift drivers licenseMust be able to work independentlyMust have to ability to do basic mathematical calculationsCOMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIESThe employee must be able to:Operate a computer or other keyboard instrumentEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEThe employee should have the following:High School Diploma or GED EquivalentProof of legal authorization to work in the United StatesMust be 18 years or olderMust be drug and alcohol freeESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTThe employee should possess the ability to:Work varying or rotating shiftsExposure to hot/cold temperature- continuouslyExposure to noise- continuouslyLifting/carrying/moving up to 50 poundsStanding- continuouslyStooping – frequentlyTwisting – frequentlyBending – frequentlyHand/Eye Coordination– continuouslyHandling (grasping, holding) – continuouslyWalking – frequently’Job Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:12 hour shiftDay shiftNight shiftWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Required)Night Shift (Required)Overnight Shift (Required)Work Location: One location
