DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position is part of the Systems and Data Management Section within the Bureau of Policy, Programs and Operations, and is part of a team of Business Analysts responsible for supporting the program offices in the planning, development, implementation, and operation of information systems for the programs administered and supervised by OCYF.
The Systems and Data Management Section manages the existing Child Welfare Information Solution (CWIS) and is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the planning, development, and implementation of a new Statewide Child Welfare Case Management System. The Section also manages other legacy applications for the office and is responsible for data management, data quality, and reporting.
The person in this position will perform analysis of county and/or state business processes and requirements that will be supported in a new case management system. Additional job duties are to include engaging users in business process reengineering and user stories, participate in the design and development of the case management system, perform user acceptance testing, and provide implementation support (training and technical assistance).
A portion of the person’s time may also include providing child welfare and OCYF procedural expertise for operational support and technical assistance for the following systems and processes: DocuShare, Account Administration (Business Partner account/technical assistance), Continuity of Operations, and management of the CWIS County Helpdesk Resource Account.
The work also involves representing the program office and providing child welfare expertise in the identification and documentation of existing business processes, and in the development and implementation of improved business processes for their application to an IT system in support of agency programs and policy.
Work Hours and Additional Information:
Full time employment.
Work hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday with a 30 minute lunch.
You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time up to 4 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements – One year as a Business Analyst 1; OR one year as an Information Technology Trainee; OR one year of business process analysis experience and a bachelor’s degree; OR five years of business process analysis experience; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
