Job Overview:
Under minimal supervision and administrative direction, provide information about the Tucson Authority Authority (TAA) to internal and external audiences; coordinate special events, customer service programs and outreach initiatives at Tucson International Airport (TUS) and Ryan Airfield (RYN).
Essential Functions:
The following functions and all other functions not included in this job description are to be performed in the best interests and for the greater good of TAA.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Provide a high level of communication with customers, the public, tenants, employees and the community (marketing and advertising, media relations, internal/external communications, electronic communications and social media, publications, special events, community outreach and special projects).
Coordinate and administer the Art Program; maintain an inventory of the permanent art collection; coordinate the rotating art exhibit program; follow established policy, coordinate and administer the art acquisition program, and oversee the temporary exhibits and performing arts program; coordinate special art events.
Administer the Airport Ambassador Program; recruit, train, coordinate volunteer schedule and provide uniforms; engage in regular communication and provide updates on airport activities or changes; track and maintain uniform inventory; track volunteer hours; coordinate meetings for training, updates and recognition of milestone achievements.
Assist with the launch of the PAWS Program; a pet therapy program. Administer the PAWS Program; coordinate certified handler/canine team(s) with contracted agencies; provide airport training, coordinate volunteer schedule; engage in regular communication and provide updates on airport activities or changes; track and maintain uniform inventory; track volunteer hours; coordinate meetings for training, updates and recognition of milestone achievements.
Your Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or other related fields; a minimum of two years related experience.
TAA will consider any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to demonstrate aptitude for the position.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must obtain and maintain access to the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA).
Must successfully complete the National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 course requirements and certification within the first year of assuming the position.
As an employee, you are deemed to be essential personnel as part of TAA’s emergency response, and must respond to airport incidents as requested/required.
Will serve at the pleasure of the President/CEO and is not covered by the TAA termination appeals process.
