The Community Relations Representative I is responsible for growing membership through educating and servicing the Medicaid population, including meeting the communities need for ongoing educational and social service outreach to existing and potential members.
How you will make an impact:
Acts as service representative for assigned projects and a resource to membership and community.
Ensures consistent compliance with all state, federal, and company specific requirements.
Assists with establishing and maintaining positive relationships with community organizations, provider offices, and faith based organizations; performs activities to enhance presence in the community.
Identifies and collects educational material on community networks and advocacy groups with similar missions and values and communicate the information to management.
Provides telephonic assistance, outreach and/or guidance to members and potential members regarding benefit and enrollment questions, and/or providing assistance on any social service needs.
The Community Relations Representative II is responsible for developing and maintaining new contacts and/or partnerships in the community.

Leads and manages strategies within a specific territory or business initiative.
Acts as liaison with community advocacy groups that impacts target population.
Identifies, develops and builds relationships with community organizations, provider offices, and faith based organizations; performs activities to enhance presence in the community.
Assists members and potential members with benefit and/or enrollments inquiries.
Identifies cultural issues regarding current and potential members and communicate issues to management.
Tracks all marketing and sales activities and maintains sales database.
Conducts marketing presentations to increase effectiveness in establishing rapport, assessing individual needs, and communicating product/benefit features and differences.
The Community Relations Representative III is responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of strategies related to specific business programs, products, territory or expansion.
How you will make an impact:
Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with the member population for the primary purpose of increasing enrollment and decreasing disenrollment.
Ensures consistent compliance with state, federal, and company specific requirements.
Develops a standard process for assessing the feasibility and development of sponsored event programs.
Conducts marketing activities, events, exhibits, education, and presentations in an effort to gain members and maintain and/or establish relationships with providers, community, and faith based organizations.
Identifies and enlists the cooperation of individuals, groups, social service agencies and other community organizations in educational and outreach activities.
Identifies cultural issues regarding current and potential members; communicate those issues and concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications
Community Relations Representative I Minimum Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent
A minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare or sales/marketing environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle with valid motor vehicle insurance required.
Community Relations Representative I Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
AD or BA/BS preferred.
State health insurance licensure preferred.
Community Relations Representative II Minimum Requirements:
Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent
A minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare or sales/marketing environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle with valid motor vehicle insurance required.
Community Relations Representative II Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
AD or BA/BS preferred.
Knowledge about provider network that supports the delivery area, knowledge of plan and/or competitors value added benefits preferred.
State health insurance licensure preferred.
Community Relations Representative III Minimum Requirements:
Requires an AA/AS degree.
A minimum of 4 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle with valid motor vehicle insurance required.
Community Relations Representative III Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
BA/BS preferred.
State health insurance licensure preferred.
