Job Description : Title: Control Room Operator
Location: Puyallup, WA
Pay: $45-$47/Hour – 8% Bonus – Relocation Assistance – Full Benefits
Schedule: 12 hour rotating modified DuPont schedule with 7o’clock in/out time

This position is stationed on a flagship power plant in the area that our client owns and operates with strong viability long term. It is a highly efficient setup running the newest turbine controls system looking for power plant, naval, or industrial control room experience. The job is kept interesting with both operators rotating 6 hours in the control room and 6 hours outside of the plant with the opportunity to assist mechanical maintenance and IC&E teams as needed. Pay is competitive for the area in beautiful Puyallup which is a thriving city right by Commencement Bay home to the state fair, fertile agricultural areas, and several parks and trails including natural forests and great lakes for fishing.
Job Description:
Starting up and safely shutting down, isolating or by-passing all plant equipment including turbines, boilers, generators and switch gear.
Thorough understanding of all plant systems.
Coordination the proper distribution of electrical and thermal power to meet all contractual obligations whenever possible.
Ability to clearly, accurately and orderly convey timely information required for reliable and safe operations.
Filling out the daily plant log sheets and log book.
Maintain a safe working conditions and proper housekeeping at all times
Ability to perform trouble shooting when necessary.
Monitor plant equipment to ensure proper operation and identify developing trends.
Quickly respond and take corrective action to plant alarms.
Ensure work orders are written on faulty or unsafe equipment.
Perform PM inspections as required.
Perform water chemistry tests and adjust the chemical feed as needed.
Monitor and maintain operating levels in equipment.
Perform daily reporting activities.
Perform daily and real time dispatch functions.
Coordinate shift maintenance and operations activities.
Generate, hang, clear and administer Lock Out Tag Outs (LOTOs)
Coordinate safety work permits (confined space, hot work, test operate, etc.)
Perform assignments received from the O&M Manager.
Perform other various tasks as designated by O&M or Plant Manager.
Effectively apply and support safety practices. Recognizes and communicates safety hazards, including stop work scenarios for the protection of fellow workers, contractors
