Job Description : Empress Cargo LLC, a company of Evans Deliveries Network, is hiring a Dispatcher.
Dispatches the company trucks and owner operator trucks. • Ensure timely delivery of products. Communicate with customers if deliveries are delayed for any reason. Confirm next day’s delivery with via phone call, test or email to customers or job foreman if not confirmed. Communicate with drivers to make sure paperwork is filed in timely manner. Complete paperwork weekly from drivers using company software.
Education – High school diploma or GED and equivalent experience. College degree not required. • 3 to 5 years of previous verifiable Truck Dispatch experience preferred. • Able to understand and follow instructions • Ability to comprehend and use multiple software products such as Microsoft products and dispatch software • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with crew, fellow workers, and management. Good oral and written communication skills – not limited to cell phone, email, computer, I-pad, etc. • Good leadership skills • Mathematical and mechanical knowledge • Ability to identify deficiencies’ and provide suggestions or resolution • Teamwork orientation – balances team and individual responsibilities. Puts success of team above your own • Gives and welcomes feedback • Contributes to building a positive team spirit • Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions • Keeps commitments; Commits to long hours of work, when necessary, to reach goals.; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
