JOB PURPOSE
This meaningful role is for a dynamic Event Assistant who will serve as a pivotal member of the Burberry Events team. Events Assistant is responsible for supporting the team with the planning and execution of all in-store, wholesale, internal, brand image and brand partnership activations across the Americas region.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Americas Event team with execution and logistics on all events.
Perform ROI analysis and compile key learnings and results post events
Responsible for researching, vetting, and managing upkeep of master vendors including caterers, florists, AV, calligraphers, venues, restaurants, hotels, etc.
Work to streamline events communications and manage the events calendar, working closely with Client Engagement, Visual Merchandising, Retail Operations and Marketing
Meeting note taker and recaps
Coordinate meetings with key internal and external stakeholders, including reserving rooms and setting up needed technology with IT teams
Pack, ship and track event supplies and/or collateral to events.
Maintain and manage event materials and fixtures
Handle payment of all event-related invoices and work with Sr. Event Manager on individual event budgets as this will allow for organization of the overall events budget
Liaise and communicate with London Office to create invites/evites, update calendars and agendas for partnerships and events
Other administrative duties as needed
PERSONAL PROFILE
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Keynote, Adobe Illustrator, Fashion GPS
Knowledge of the marketplace and pop culture trends
Appreciation and general understanding of the luxury industry
1-2 years of experience planning and executing events, preferably within Retail, Fashion and/or PR Agency
Ability to work evenings and some weekends
Some travel required; up to 20%
