At Vail Resorts Australia, we have an extremely dedicated and talented grooming crew who pride themselves on ensuring all runs are in pristine condition for our guests’ enjoyment from first tracks through to the close of lifts.

Our groomer drivers are employed to improve and maintain the snow surface and increase longevity of the cover throughout the resort as well as assisting to build and maintain the resort Terrain Parks and Halfpipes. As a groomer driver you will also carry out basic maintenance, adjustments and repairs as required.

This role involves shift work and requires flexibility in working hours to align with operational requirements. Groomer drivers will be required to work in all weather conditions, generally during the night, making the resort ready for action the next day.

Applicants ideally will have a minimum of two seasons’ experience driving Snow Groomers.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

Have a current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
Undertake safe and efficient operation of Grooming machines to provide a safe environment for guests and staff
An awareness of varying snow conditions and the implications for the machine’s performance in such conditions
Be willing to work shift work
Be able to adhere to all operational and safety procedures
Be able to work together as a team in a safe and productive manner
Be competent in the use of two-way radios
Be able to work at night and in extreme weather conditions
Be competent at changing different implements on the machines

Employment start dates will vary depending on the role and snow conditions, but most roles start in June and finish in late September. Staff accommodation may be available for successful applicants.
