Job Description : John Hall’s Alaska is expanding! Seeking operations assistants for the 2022 summer season to greet guests at the airport upon arrival, transport to the hotel, and assist with guest needs. Prior hospitality experience required, flexible work schedule required for arriving flights through the day and night, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to go above and beyond. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and minimum of 21 years of age. Availability required mid-May through Mid-September.Anchorage Ground Operations Job DescriptionJHA employees serve as a representative of John Hall’s Alaska at all times.JHA employees serve as representation of the organization throughout Alaska. Professional behavior and courtesy must be demonstrated at all times.Position reports directly to the Anchorage Lead Ground Operations for schedule and tasks.Conduct airport greet and pickups for all guests arriving into Anchorage with transport in company vehicle(s). Flights may arrive at various times of the day or night.Communicate and coordinate guest’s arrival with Lead Ground Operations and Anchorage hotel partner(s).Communicate guest’s special requests to Anchorage Lead Ground Operations, and assist in the delivery and execution of such requests as necessary.Assist in season start up and close down – this includes opening satellite Anchorage office for the season.Communicate special circumstances, changes and operations status to Anchorage Lead Ground Operations.Most importantly: Go above and beyond. John Hall’s Alaska is in business to exceed the guests’ expectations.Assist in cleanliness and organization of all John Hall’s Alaska fleet vehicles; to include vehicles utilized for guests’ airport arrival and transport. Maintenance and mechanical issues are to be communicated to the Alaska Operations Manager in a timely manner.John Hall’s Alaska will provide travel expenses for employees however any additional unnecessary products or services purchased are the financial responsibility of the employee.Position RequirementsHigh school graduate.1 year of hospitality experience.Clean driving record with valid Driver License and at least 21 years of age.Authorized to work in the United States with fluency in English.Willingness to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.Organized and have attention to detail.Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects at one time.Ability to prioritize work making sure all deadlines are met.Punctual and reliable to work independently.Ability to work in a team environment with John Hall’s Alaska colleagues and Anchorage vendor partners.Ability to lift loads over 20 pounds, and utilize teamwork for heavier loads.Clear communication skills and ability to provide leadership to guests.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, SeasonalSalary: $22-24.00/hourJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hourSchedule:Evening shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payPay may depend on skills and/or qualificationsCOVID-19 considerations:https://www.kissalaska.com/COVID-Travel-Protocols.htmlAbility to commute/relocate:Anchorage, AK 99518: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: One location
