CalPERS is situated near the Napa Valley, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe, and other desirable destinations, and we offer competitive benefit packages, compensation, and opportunities for advancement.CalPERS seeks two (2) Associate Program Auditors (Information Systems) in the Office of Audit Services, in the Internal Audit Unit.Under direction, the Associate Program Auditor (IS) performs information system audits, reviews, and consulting assignments in accordance with internal auditing and IS auditing standards promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). The incumbent plans the audit engagement, develops and executes the audit program, reports the audit findings, and works with the auditee(s) to reach appropriate resolutions. Additionally, they provide advisory services to project management, reengineering efforts, and systems development initiatives. They also participate in annual risk assessment and audit follow-up activities, and offer training opportunities to other internal audit staff on specialized IS auditing practicesDesirable QualificationsLogical reasoning.Experience auditing information systems.Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification.Analytical skills.Develop and evaluate alternatives.Ability to analyze issues and present options.Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage and produce formal, written reports with documented findings, conclusions, and substantive recommendations.Professional demeanor.A Training and Development (T&D) assignment may also be considered for this position. A T&D assignment is a temporary assignment to provide an employee training and experience to move to a different occupational field. A T&D assignment is a formal agreement between the employee, the current supervisor, and the new supervisor. The duration of agreements can vary in length but shall not exceed twenty-four (24) months. The duration may also be the length of experience needed to meet the minimum qualifications.Please Note: You will need to pass the Associate Program Auditor (Information Systems), CalPERS examination to establish list eligibility prior to any type of job offer if not Transfer eligible.
