Our passion for service excellence relentlessly drives us to identify opportunities to provide creative and flexible premier logistics service.About the Job: This position is responsible for the logistics functions of our Pacific Northwest operations. Primary responsibilities include managing all aspects of customer service and implementing and maintaining logistics functions with various agents, which are needed to properly route freight.Job Responsibilities and Skills: Responsible for working with operations and customer service to ensure a consistently high level of service, quality, and customer satisfaction.Collaborates with site operations to ensure proper freight handling and routing in a safe and timely manner.Establishes and maintains positive, productive customer and employee relations while managing daily resolution of issues.Plans accordingly and monitors operational demands, business objectives, and customer expectations.Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication and provide accurate, valid and complete information, shipment tracking and delivery information by using the right methods/toolsHandle customer concerns, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure resolutionCommunicate and coordinate with internal departments to ensure the service expectation is achievedProcess shipment Bill of Lading to ensure all the vital information is present to route to the correct destination and to image into the Aloha Information SystemAccurately enter shipment dimensions and weight information into the Aloha Information SystemContact customers regarding proper routing of shipments that lack the proper documentation.Identify Shipper/Consignees that require special handling, consolidation, and special routing.Work with domestic ocean carriers to create bookings and oversee any necessary function or documentation needed to properly route carrier equipment.Work with delivery agents to supply necessary documents required for delivery, and ensure delivery to customers is made in a timely manner.Create Standard Operating Procedures where appropriate in conjunction with the operational departments.Requirements: 5+ years relevant experience.Proficient in goal setting, successful in process implementation and be very confident with interpersonal customer contact and development.Must be motivated, self-directed, organized and detail oriented as well as have the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsHigh level of integrity, attention to detailJob Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Logistics: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
