Position : Manager – Cargo Sales

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the direct solicitation of air freight from commercial accounts, retail, and freight forwarders within the state of Hawaii. With main focus on Interline and Strategic Partners
Responsible for the development and sustaining of customer relationships (freight forwarders, contract service providers, retail, and other large revenue sources) and direct solicitation to said customers
Conducts personal and telephone sales calls to potential clients daily to develop air cargo traffic from Hawaii to all Hawaiian Airlines Domestic and International destinations’ as well as Interisland destinations
Meets revenue targets through execution of pre-planned targeted sales calls, measures results against plan
Maintains an awareness of competitive issues in the region and makes recommendations on competitive actions to be taken
Resolves operational issues with appropriate internal resources or ground handlers
Works in concert with other sales team members, other departments, both external and internal customers to further Hawaiian Airlines’ effort to attain more revenue in the mainland market and maintain a high profile for the department and company
Handles customer and freight forwarder special requests, assists in problem solving
Actively participates in cargo community and events (Air Cargo Associations) to elevate Hawaiian Air Cargo in said community
Help coordinate/maintain marketing advertisements
Professional development and other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of experience in sales within airlines or related industry or service. Cargo sales highly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation tools
Sales targeting and prioritization experience, using limited resources to best advantage
Ability to set sub-goals and develop strategies to achieve overall sales goals
Strong sales and interpersonal skills
Able to create strong personal relationships with clients
Able to use internal and external reporting systems to guide client decision making and prioritization of effort
Willingness to travel frequently
Experience in a self-directed position
Strong knowledge of airline technologies and processes
Must have received the COVID Vaccine by date of hire
