Position : Medical Billing Manager

Job Description : i-Kare Treatment Center is seeking to hire an experienced Billing Manager to join our teamTo support continued growth and maximize our revenues, we are creating a Revenue Cycle Management group. The ideal candidate will have expertise in third party billing and have experience in the substance abuse and mental health environments. In this role, you would closely with other departments and our facilities to ensure proper Billing and Coding. The Billing Manager oversees all aspects of the billing operations including; billing, collections, statements, deposits, data entry and contracting and credentialing.Responsibilities: Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim submittalsResponsible for reviewing, preparing and processing of patient statementsOversees all aspects of the Billing Department.Behavioral Health, Mental Health, and/or Substance Abuse billing experience and knowledge preferred.Leadership and management experience.Responsible for investigating insurance rejected claims and the re-processing of denied claims and/or appeals of denied or underpaid claimsIdentify denial patterns, as well as notifying senior management of payment delay issuesResponsible for billing insurance claims in a timely and accurate mannerResponsible for identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurancesContacts insurance companies and patients regarding outstanding accountsAnswers all patient or insurance telephone inquires pertaining to the billing departmentReceives patient calls and resolves them in a professional manner. Meets/communicates with patients to resolve billing issuesReviews Accounts Receivable and Collection Write-Off Reports to determine and take appropriate action on accounts, i.e., set up payment plan or refer account to collection agencyMust utilize critical thinking skills to determine if payer is in violation of contract terms or legal obligation to payMay be expected to research payments to patient accounts following appropriate payment posting proceduresSubmit patient statements on a routine, scheduled basisFollow-up on pay-to-patient insurance payments, ensuring facility receives paymentsResponsible for maintaining the highest level of billing standards following current guidelines from Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance entities.Issues all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; higher education desired.Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required.At least 3 years of experience with Third Party billing in the behavioral health and/or substance abuse setting.Expert level knowledge of, and willingness to comply with, laws and regulations affecting the work of a Biller.Full revenue cycle process experience required, including insurance verification, coding and claim submission, claim denial requisition, insurance payment posting and the appeals processExperience in using electronic health record software, (preferably KIPU) and electronic billingStrong computer skills including average knowledge of ExcelExceptional communications skills – both written and verbalAbility to read, understand and use CPT, LCD and ICD 9/10 codes and adhere to Medicare guidelines and complianceExperience with common insurance payor portalsSuperior organizational skill, attention to detail, ability to work without micro-managementJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 – $30.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftSupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:West Palm Beach, FL 33407: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Application Question(s):This position requires candidate to post charges and work on the A.R.
