Position Summary
The Mortgage Marketing Coordinator serves as the primary marketing position for mortgage lending for Northrim Bank’s wholly-owned subsidiary Residential Mortgage. The position is responsible for marketing, sales and communication activities for Residential Mortgage, to include the promotion of the company, as well as its mortgage loan originators. Sales and marketing support functions include the development and coordination of promotional materials; regularly reviewing and providing website updates to administrator; managing Residential Mortgage social media activities; and managing trade shows and events. Additionally, this position supports mortgage-related marketing functions for Northrim Bank to include referral programs, cross-company communications and cross-sell activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead marketing efforts for Residential Mortgage Loan Originators ensuring message and design is within brand and compliant. Meet regularly with hired marketing consultant and loan originators to determine individualized marketing plans that help loan originators reach their goals.
Work with print/production vendors to manage print and promotional items. Materials include but are not limited to brochures, posters, handouts, rack cards, direct mail, social media content, trade show and special event collateral, business cards, and print and web advertising.
Be the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool administrator and user expert assisting Residential Mortgage staff by managing workflows and creating content so loan originators can deepen their connections with their contacts and customers.
Utilize customer retention tool and work with the vendor and platform to become the user expert for Residential Mortgage.
Review and provide necessary content updates to the Residential Mortgage and Northrim Bank websites as it pertains to mortgage lending.
Manage Residential Mortgage social media activities to include reviewing originator posts, and ensuring compliance and guidelines within brand scope.
Educate/coach originators on how social media should be used within the realms of our compliance and brand considerations.
Coordinate Residential Mortgage sponsored marketing and sales events, as well as participation in trade shows and industry-related events and organizations such as home shows and relator conventions.
Maintain regular archiving of Residential Mortgage marketing items for compliance exams. Maintain marketing department procedures and archives as they pertain to mortgage lending.
Conduct ad hoc research to support Residential Mortgage marketing and sales efforts. Develop and produce measurement reports for Residential Mortgage and Northrim Bank management.
Manage the marketing inventory for Residential Mortgage and any Northrim Bank mortgage-related items. Ensure items are kept up to date, relevant, and stocked for use.
Ensure Residential Mortgage’s online listings such as Google, Yelp, local Chambers, and professional organization’s websites are correct and up to date.
Work closely with Compliance for approval of marketing items.
Support the development of sales and promotional campaigns.
Coordinate, develop, and support Residential Mortgage email marketing efforts.
Manage the Mortgage Referral program between Residential Mortgage and Northrim Bank. Monitor referrals to ensure they are being assigned correctly and MLOs are following up with customers. Coordinate referral contests and branch visits by originators. Disseminate program updates and contest specifics to involved parties.
Review, approve and code all marketing related invoices.
Develop tactics to support cross-sell to Northrim Bank from Residential Mortgage. Assist with internal communication and alignment between companies. Leverage resources available and for any joint marketing efforts.
Complete online, written and in-person compliance training within established timeframes.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
Related experience may be substituted for education requirement.
Experience
Four years of related work experience in marketing, mortgage lending, and/or financial services to include:
Eighteen months of practical marketing experience.
Six months of website administration.
Knowledge of social media for business is highly desired.
Experience in branding and product development with a specific emphasis on real estate is preferred.
Light graphic design or photography skills desired.
Related military education/experience may be used as a substitute for education or work experience.
Knowledge & Communication Skills
Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language and in an effective manner with customers, staff, management, and third party vendors.
Must have excellent business writing and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact professionally with people at all levels in a manner all will understand. Must have strong organization skills.
Work under pressure and with tight deadlines is important.
Must understand and have the ability to implement applicable compliance requirements.
Analytical & Decision Making Skills
Must be a good problem solver and have the ability to understand complex instructions and work with technology resources.
Must have good attention to detail with the ability to proof read documents for accuracy and coordinating project logistics accurately.
Must be able to work with limited or no supervision. Must be able to complete work and manage priorities under stressful conditions, conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
Must possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Must be able to work some early mornings, evenings, or weekend days for assigned events. Some independent critical thinking is necessary.
Computer/Software/Other Equipment Skills
Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment such as PC, printer, fax/copier, and telephone.
Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Work is performed in a professional office environment.
