Job Description : About usShaka Kayaks is a small kayak and bird watching business in Kahuku, HI. We are autonomous, professional, customer-centric and our goal is to Educate guests on the honu and local birds in a fun safe environment..Our work environment includes:Relaxed atmosphereCasual work attireSafe work environmentAloha, North Shore kayak company is looking for an outstanding kayak and/or birdwatching guide to join our team. If you have an out going personality with excellent watermanship skills consider applying for a fun outdoor job that really isn’t like work at all. Applicants must be non-smoking, drug free and First Aid/CPR certified with additional water safety training such as Lifesaving or Lifeguarding. Tours are from 7am till noon daily and guides must have a clean driving record to drive off road electric transports. Guides must also be able to lift and launch kayaks and transport them 100′ to and from storage daily. Excellent starting pay depending on kayak experience with tips, commissions and bird watching or sunset trip bonuses. North Shore residents preferred to reduce carbon footprint and local knowledge of history, culture, birds and marine life (especially the honu) are required.
