Position : Overdose Program Coordinator
Job Description : The CDC Foundation anticipates hiring several Overdose Program Coordinators to support the Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) response in various states across the country. The purpose of the OD2A project is to gather real-time data on drug overdoses and to use this data to drive prevention actions that ultimately reduce fatal drug overdoses.The Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role on the team and is primarily responsible for:Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the associated program, including scheduling program-related work, overseeing daily operations, coordinating program activities and set program prioritiesAssisting with meeting all requirements of the program and increasing access to and participation in the program.In addition to having a strong leadership, networking, communication and interpersonal skills, successful candidates will also possess:A Bachelor’s degree in public health, the social sciences, or a related field; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 2 years related work experienceExcellent organization and project management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing timelinesExperience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teamsDemonstrated knowledge in overdose prevention, substance use disorder treatment, harm reduction, recovery, and/or drug policyProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and ZoomAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, mental or physical disabilities, veteran status, and all other characteristics protected by law.We comply with all applicable laws including E.O. 11246 and the Vietnam Era Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 governing employment practices and do not discriminate on the basis of any unlawful criteria in accordance with 41 C.F.R. §§ 60-300.5(a)(12) and 60-741.5(a)(7).
