Job Description : Job Title: PainterATC is an FAA approved 145 Repair station has an opening for Painter position. This position will be reporting to VP Operations. You will be responsible for painting various aircraft parts as well as removing paint and other coatings to facilitate our technicians in performing detailed inspections. Various equipment is supplied including all sanders. Hours of operations Monday – Friday 07.00 to 14.30. You may be asked to work overtime in order to meet deadlines, so the applicant should keep that in mind.Duties/Responsibilities: · Using tools and paint remover solutions, remove old paint from aircraft body and spare parts· Clean, sand aircraft parts for painting· Apply epoxy, polish, resin or other materials to metal aircraft surfaces before applying the final color coat· Follow safety regulations and wear protective gear during spray painting operations· Apply markings to part using stencils and masking aids· Use of mil specs, detailed blueprints, fabrication, assembly outlines, sketches, patterns, and written or verbal instructions.· Paint booth manometer and temperature/humidity readings and tracking required· Manage paint inventory, monitoring, tracking, and ordering directly from suppliers.· Work directly with specialty repairs (scratches, dents, damage, blending colors)· Keeping up with a daily “ run” of jobs for which you are responsible· Maintain good housekeeping and cleaning standards in the shopRequired Skills/Abilities: · High School diploma or equivalent· Knowledge of the properties of various paints, finishes, and paint removers· Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills· Strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in using tools· Sufficient physical strength and dexterity to climb on aircraft and manipulate painting equipment· Knowledge of the use, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials· Able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted.
