Position : Plumbing Apprentice
Job Description : Division: Oahu
Pay Range: $30-35 / hr
Summary
In this position, the Plumbing Apprentice will support Plumbers in the maintenance, operation and repair of Plumbing systems. They will also assist and perform installation and maintenance tasks for the various areas of the Company.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Plumbers with basic tasks using hand tools.
Assist with completing maintenance work orders on plumbing equipment. i.e.: testing, trouble-shooting malfunctioning equipment, identify defects, repair equipment and replace defective parts.
Assist with plumbing tasks, alignment adjustments and calibration of equipment. Assist with the installation of complete code compliant plumbing systems in residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Follow directions using: manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints and equipment specifications.
Learn company procedures for installing and maintaining plumbing systems following federal and safety regulations/safety requirements.
Comply with HIOSH and Company safety policies and practices.
Other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Completed or currently enrolled in a Plumbing Apprentice course.
Must have plumbing service work experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing codes
2 years’ experience in trades/construction with basic knowledge of plumbing.
Must be able to walk or stand for long periods of time.
Ability to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops.
Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
Must have personal tools.
Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive demeanor.
