With roots dating to 1927, the PUD provides sustainable, reliable, and high-quality water and electric services to over 13,000 electric customers and over 12,500 water customers in greater Truckee, a service area of 45.5 square miles.About the PositionUnder general supervision of the Human Resources & Risk Director, performs a variety of duties in the implementation and coordination of the District’s safety & risk management programs in compliance with federal, state, & local laws & regulations; performs inspections and/or audits on District facilities, equipment, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations; identifies and works to limit potential hazards or risks to District employees, the public and property; maintains and coordinates District safety training program; and performs related work as required.Minimum Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:Education: A high school diploma or equivalent.Experience: Two years of experience in safety programs and/or training administration, safety inspections or a related field within a power and/or water utility.
