Job Description : Camp Mokule’ia Summer Camp Counselor Job Listing: Are you looking for a fun and meaningful summer position where you can facilitate waterfront activities, team-building, and games while sharing your Christian faith with campers of all ages? Our goal at Camp Mokule’ia is to engage campers in a safe, Christian community to help them create cherished life long memories. We are located on 30 beautiful acres of Hawaiian beachfront property where we strive to care and share the land we have been blessed with.Camp Mokule’ia’s Mission and Vision: Camp Mokule’ia, a historically sacred place of rest, recreation and renewal, is a ministry of the Episcopal Church in Hawai‘i that inspires individuals and communities to connect with the goodness and blessings of all God’s Creation.Camp Mokule’ia, upholding Christian and Hawaiian values, is dedicated to maintain, develop, sustain and care for its natural resources, offer a safe gathering place for all who enter, and provide for Christian ministry through intentional service to spiritual needs of the Episcopal diocese and the community.Your responsibilities as a camp counselor will include but not be limited to the following:Attend Staff Training June 1-10Ability to work seven weeks of residential camp (four weeks of summer camp, three weeks of partnership camps)Live in-cabin with campers week by weekEnsure the health and safety of campers and report issues to staff as necessaryEffectively manage cabin and activity groups emphasizing cooperation, support, and problem solvingBe a positive Christian role model and help campers develop their Christian faithLead multiple activities such as paddleboarding, kayak/canoeing, swimming, low ropes activities, nature hikes, field gamesAbility to value and respect the opinions and beliefs of othersQualifications: Must be 18 years of age and be one full year out of high schoolBe willing to be CPR/AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard certified (will be provided during staff training)Uphold the Christian mission and vision of Camp Mokule’iaMust be fully vaccinated against Covid-19Benefits: $2,000 for the full summer paid out bi-weekly (June 1st-July 31st), up to $500 for travel expenses, food and housing, laundry available on sitePlease contact assistant director, Lynea Mitchell, with any questions at (808)-637-6241 ext 102.Application: Copy and paste the below url to fill out an application.https://forms.gle/h6MWMatPBnHuvAf16Job Type: Full-timePay: $2,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityWork Location: One location
