Position : Acctg/HR/Payroll Assistant

Job Description : Position Summary for HR/Payroll: The primary focus is on Payroll and Human Resources but will support the Accounting team, and other projects as needed. This position reports to the Accounting and HR Departments.This is a Temporary to full-time position. This position is located at our corporate office in Leesburg, VA.Duties & Responsibilities for HR/Payroll: Prepare Payroll for a multi-state/ multi-location businessMaintain COVID-19 compliance over a multi-state environmentAnswering HR related calls, emails and mail from various sources and handle appropriately.Manage recruiting efforts and leave of absence administrationProcess employment verifications and unemployment claimsPrepare bank and credit card, reconciliations, month-end closing reports, other ad hoc projects.Assist in reconciling employee benefits and other intercompany billingsSupport Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, assist with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/creditsSupport Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filingPrepare bank deposits and review ETFs for processingBack up to Reception/ Front desk as needed.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for HR/Payroll: High school diploma or equivalent is required, some College is preferred.1-2 years of work experience as receptionist and excellent phone skillsMaintain a high level of confidentialityAbility to work under pressure and meet rigid deadlinesMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment and independently with minimal supervisionOutstanding data entry, organizational and retention skillsStrong customer service skills and patience for disgruntled callersExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional attention to detail is required.Knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteMust have a strong self-starting work ethic and be extremely punctualWilling to be cross-train in other areas to fully support the CompanyPhysical Demands/Work Environment for HR/Payroll: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
