Job Description : The ideal Agave Ambassador is an agave spirits enthusiast who is engaging, charismatic, professional, polished and articulate candidate with a strong connection to their market, a robust social media presence, and extensive experience in and knowledge of the bartending and mixology community.This is a full-time, salaried position that requires full and open availability, as 50% of obligations will take place during normal business hours, while the other 50% will require evening and weekend work. Must be available to travel outside of designated market, within the US, upon request, not to exceed 20%. Benefits include mileage reimbursement, a monthly cell phone stipend, and 10 accrued days of PTO per calendar year. There is also a possibility of traveling to Oaxaca, Mexico and Tequila, Mexico!Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Account/Gatekeeper Education: Manage an assigned key account list consisting of 50 influential accounts via education, brand building activities and relationship management.Event Activations: Represent the brand at key marketing and promotional brand activations (ex. tequila/mezcal tastings, experiential events, etc.).Distributor Sales Force Trainings: Educate and reinforce brand attributes with key distributor partners of the Proximo Spirits agave portfolio.Sampling Staff Education: Educate sampling staff/trade on the featured brands via category knowledge, brand touchpoints, production processes, and taste profiles.Event Programming: Curate and execute relevant brand programming based on key brand initiatives and milestones to keep educational content dynamic and engaging with the target audience.Category & Brand Expertise: Answer consumer and trade questions while building their base of tequila and mezcal category knowledge.Activation Management: Liaise between brand, sales, trade marketing and target accounts to ensure program sell-in and executions meet brand quality standards.Reporting: Provide consistent feedback on programming metrics, competitive activity, in-market best practice, success highlights and brand opportunities.Administrative: Complete administrate requests in a timely manner, including but not limited to; monthly recaps, expense reports, time reporting, bi-weekly team call participation, etc.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Goal-oriented, self-starter, outgoing and gregarious, engaging, articulate, charismatic and persuasive.Previous industry experience in bartending, mixology, event execution, brand education, etc.Knowledge of tequila and mezcal categoriesAdept at interacting with diverse groups of peopleStrong written, verbal, presentation and public speaking skillsIn-depth understanding of account universe in activation territoriesStrong social media presence and following, able to create engaging contentAbility to travel to surrounding areas outside of assigned geographical market on a regular basisAbility to travel for mandatory brand and product training at the client’s distillery in MexicoGMR Qualifications:Must be 21 years of age or olderMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipMust have reliable transportation to travel to surrounding markets and make in-market visits while transporting program materials (liquor, giveaways, etc.)Computer Skills:Working knowledge of computers with average to above average skills in Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and EmailAbility to learn new computer programs quickly and efficientlyEducation, Training, & Experience: Degree in a related field preferred (sales and marketing; hospitality management; culinary)Liquor sales, bartending, and fine dining background preferredPrevious experience in spirits industry, marketing, field sales, or other related fields requiredLanguage Requirements:Written and verbal fluency of the English language and grammarAbility to speak Spanish a plus, but not a requirementAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsJob Type: Full-timePay: From $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWeekend availabilityEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:Bartending: 1 year (Preferred)Brand Ambassador: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
