Job Description:
On a production basis, a Manufacturing Associate performs electronic and/or electromechanical assembly work of moderate complexity. Relatively simple assembly procedures are involved, requiring primarily manual dexterity. Assembly procedures may involve soldering where access is somewhat difficult, working with parts or components that require special care in handling or other procedures that require good dexterity and facility in use of a variety of hand tools. Work is typically highly repetitive, and rotation of job is incorporated. Must be able to work from assembly instructions, detail drawings or other input documents of similar complexity. May make minor procedural decisions in soldering, fitting etc., but always within established guidelines. This is a day shift position start times may vary from 5:00AM-6:30AM Monday-Thursday 4 10-hour shifts with possible overtime.
Essential Functions:
Ability to read and understand description of manufacture for operation assembly instruction. Ability to handle small parts with tweezers and/or special tools. Operate various types of assembly equipment, assembly machines, press stakers, air screw drivers, solder station, etc. Visually inspect components and subassemblies for obvious defects prior to, during and after assembly. Check completed assemblies for conformance to quality standards. Start times may vary from 5:00AM-6:30AM Monday-Thursday 4 10-hour shifts with possible overtime.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Preferred Additional Skills:
No previous experience required. Some manufacturing experience preferred.
Starting Salary: $15/hr.
