Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) Wallops Island, VA requires support for management, engineering, operation, and technical expertise for activation, operations, maintenance and engineering of equipment, systems and computer programs in support of all Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) missions and projects performed at SCSC. SCSC provides live and simulated integrated warfare capabilities in a net-centric, maritime environment to develop, test, evaluate, and conduct fleet operations and training for the warfighter.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*Adhere to Government policies, processes, and protocol for access control and identity management.Interface with visitors and permanent party personnel daily to fulfill access requirements.Use Government databases to process facility visit/access requests.Verify clearances in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS).Create/update personnel profiles and access levels in the facility electronic access control system.Issues badges.Provide basic facility orientation and security briefs.Coordinate with Government POCs to remedy discrepancies related to access control processes.*Travel*This position includes a low level of travel.*Education*, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities RequiredHigh school diploma or the equivalentTwo years of experience in badging/access control servicesEffective interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelPrevious experience using and maintaining filing systems and records.*Certificates, Licenses, Registrations*None*Qualifications*Active DoD Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance will be considered. If the selected candidate does not hold an active clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until an interim Secret clearance is granted.Must possess a valid driver’s license.Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base.*Physical Requirements*Ability to frequently traverse stairs.Sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling.Talking, hearing, and seeing.Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices.Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs.To be compliant as a covered contractor under Executive Order 14042, T-Solutions requires its employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on a medical condition or religious belief that prevents them from being vaccinated.
