Position : Cashiering Associate
Job Description : Position purpose – Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
The purpose of this position is to monitor the payment cashiering process to ensure accuracy. The Cashiering Associate will respond to inquiries, research items in a timely manner, and sustain company protocol across entire portfolio. Working regular hours in the office, on a non-remote basis, is an essential function of this position.
Posts/Processes all payment types:
Ebox
Lockbox
ACH/Phone/Online
Researches payment application issues
Assesses/Waives/Reverses late charges and fees
Produces payoff quotes within PRMI policy timeline and with state/loan type allowable fees
Provides verbal/written verification of mortgage
Reverses NSF and other returned items
Monitors certified funds status
Prints escrow checks
Writes corporate checks
Qualifications
Mortgage experience is a plus
Excellent organization skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to keep abreast of all changes and adapt them into daily routine
Ability to interface with compliance personnel and regulators as needed
