Position : Communications Coordinator
Job Description : As a Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting internal and external communication efforts for Team Members in APAC.
Coordinate with Hawaii leadership team including sales, marketing and resort operations to understand their communication needs, supporting intranet and electronic bulletin board programs, drafting internal announcements.
Provide support for external communications including first drafts of press releases, awards submissions drafts, fact sheets and other external needs.
Plays support role in issues and crisis mitigation planning and management.
Other communications and event support for teams in Hawaii as needed including, but not limited to company events, corporate social responsibility tracking and events, support for development, sales, marketing, resort operations and HR teams.
Coordinates with Social Media team to ensure external communications alignment. Assist in providing targeted communications-related support for Team Members in APAC and Japan.
Coordinates across departments to ensure externally facing materials, information sources, etc. are up-to-date and disseminated appropriately.
Support development and oversight for and execution of strategic media relations initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
Associate’s Degree
1+ year of related experience
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
BA/BS/Bachelor’s Degree
Working experience in Hospitality industry
Mix of agency and corporate public relations experience
Experience working with translation-service agencies
AP-Style proficient
Japanese language skills
