Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
This position supports the department’s senior program officers on a variety of philanthropic initiatives primarily focused around the execution of employee engagement programs including volunteering and employee giving.

Philanthropy Committees
Manage and support business unit-specific committees designed to drive employee engagement across the divisions
Assist with tracking metrics and measurement of program outcomes; provide support to create consistent business unit reporting
Scope and plan new engagement strategies for virtual and remote volunteer opportunities

Specifically, in partnership with the business, Philanthropy Committees, the candidate will:

Divisional Engagement
Oversee Year Round Volunteer Program for 15+ divisions, including managing the relationship with selected nonprofit partners
Work with Philanthropy Committee members and nonprofit partners to plan and execute on-going volunteer projects for each division (including scheduling, planning projects, communications, loggings and reporting)
Evaluate the program and partnerships on an annual basis and make recommendations for the following year’s programming
Support Vice President in increasing pro bono/skills based volunteering opportunities

Global Volunteer Month Campaign
Serve as primary campaign support for Philanthropy Committees and divisional employees during Global Volunteer Month
Manage all volunteer project allocation and planning for Philanthropy Committees/Divisions
Manage Philanthropy Committee weekly reports and ad hoc as necessary

Assist business units with planning employee volunteer opportunities, including but not limited to volunteer projects, drives and educational sessions

Employee Giving Campaign
Communicate campaign specifics and coordinate campaign launch materials
Work with Philanthropy Committee members to drive participation in annual employee giving campaign
Provide trainings and reports for business units throughout the campaign

General Program Support
Responds to general inquiries about Community Affairs programs and activities on the department phone line and e-mail
Provides additional program support as needed to team

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience and personal qualities:
BA/BS and 4+ years of experience in community affairs, nonprofit and volunteer program/project management, preferably corporate programs
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proactive, analytical, and customer service oriented with an ability to work across various corporate, nonprofit and public audiences
Professional and able to work with integrity, respect, and confidentiality at all times
Strong project planning and organizational skills; attention to detail a must
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, grant management systems, etc.
Great interpersonal and communications skills, sense of humor, and desire to learn are crucial
