We are looking for a leader to build a team of talented and experienced content creators and curriculum designers that are eager to build engaging and effective digital learning experiences proven to drive learning outcomes.As the Manager, Content & Curriculum (Project Pear), you will develop and manage a team of content creators responsible for creating, curating, and procuring content and curriculum for one of our newest products. Like all great ventures that are just beginning, this role will require imagination, tenacity, and creativity to bring the vision to fruition. A GoGuardian Manager, Content & Curriculum (Project Pear) is someone who is passionate about developing rigorous and engaging content & curriculum, believes in the importance of integrating learning science principles into the educational experience, and is dedicated to advancing solutions that support all students. We trust our C&C team to create engaging and effective content and curriculum that maximizes learning outcomes, and in turn, to help drive the development of Project Pear. As the leader of GoGuardian’s Content & Curriculum team, you should be prepared to work in an environment of rapid experimentation and growth and comfortable creating structure in ambiguous contexts.What You’ll DoBuild structures and processes to enable scalable and efficient production of high-quality K-12 content and curriculumDevelop a team of world-class Content & Curriculum SpecialistsManage multiple direct reports and develop a strong team with a culture of high-performance, innovation, and inclusionEstablish a C&C culture that maximizes individual and team engagement and performanceApply instructional design strategies and learning science principles as you guide the development of engaging K-12 content for Project PearDevelop frameworks to support with the identification and curation of existing high-quality K-12 contentCollaborate with senior stakeholders internally and externally to procure contentLeverage your pedagogical expertise to inform the design of learning pathwaysOversee the development of content and curriculum experiences that meet the needs of all learnersReview content created by Content & Curriculum SpecialistsCollaborate with executives to develop Project Pear’s content strategyTrack progress of content development and ensure timelines are metCollaborate with Content & Curriculum Specialists, Engineers, Designers, Learning Scientists, Researchers, and Data Scientists to develop Project PearWho You AreYou have an undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Communication, Psychology) and a masters degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Psychology)You have designed and implemented scalable and efficient processes and frameworks for developing content and curriculum from scratchYou have built and managed a high-performing, highly-engaged teamYou have developed engaging and rigorous standards-aligned K-12 content and curriculumYou have applied instructional design principles in a digital learning environmentYou have integrated educational research and learning science principles into the design of content and curriculumYou have experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across all levels to achieve ambitious goals (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Research, Learning Science, Design)You have managed complex projects with many moving parts to on-time deliveryYou have used digital learning platforms in your own classroom or are deeply familiar with how these technologies can be used to enhance the learning experienceYou have evaluated the effectiveness of content and curriculum providersYou can easily learn new edtech tools and imagine how they could be applied in a classroom setting to maximize student learningYou understand the K-12 ecosystem, the roles within it, and how decisions are madeYou are familiar with the EdTech landscape and the major content and curriculum providersYou are constantly looking for new opportunities to learnYou approach problems with modesty and a beginner’s mindsetYou are collaborative in your approach and are always looking for opportunities to engage colleagues and other functional groupsYou value diverse perspectives and backgroundsYou approach problems with a data-driven mindsetYou consistently challenge the status quo.
