Job Description
The COVID-19 Coordinator will manage and streamline the Wastewater Enterprise (WWE) COVID-related response. Since the widespread outbreak of COVID-19 in March 2020, managers and staff have been organizing to best handle additional workload and tasks associated with the pandemic response. Given the long-standing and on-going nature of the response, a project coordinator is needed to better manage the processes and procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
As SFPUC WWE staff return to the office with changing federal, State, and local guidelines, the 1844 will monitor changes, and under the AGM, will evaluate and develop relevant policies and protocols for WWE. The COVID Coordinator will coordinate internal communications to inform all staff regarding COVID information as well as oversee WWE contact tracing activities and provide guidance and quality control ensuring compliance with federal, State and local guidelines, including, but not limited to, AB 685, SB 1159, and Cal/OSHA regulations.
To protect employee privacy and the confidential information obtained, the COVID Coordinator is responsible for overseeing workplace contact tracing interviews conducted with the COVID-19 positive employees to ensure that investigations are assigned to appropriate staff, and the related communications to identified close contacts and general advisories. The COVID Coordinator will work closely with WWE Safety Manager on COVID related outreach to WWE employees and timely response to COVID related questions. They will also act as WWE Liaison for Enterprise Business Continuity including maintaining the WWE Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP).

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Essential Functions:
Coordinate with WWE Internal Communications to ensure that COVID information is both current and communicated across WWE at all levels such as field staff, which includes non-computer savvy population.
Oversee WWE contact tracing activities and provide guidance and quality control ensuring compliance with federal, State and local guidelines.
Coordinating, documenting and tracking internally.
Manage/coordinate staff involved in contact tracing activities to ensure quality, compliance, and adherence to policies.
Manage/create documents and documentation for Managers and Supervisors.
Act as WWE Liaison for Enterprise Business Continuity including maintaining the WWE Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) by keeping BCP informed and passing on communications from BCP.
Performs or assists in budget development, resource planning, and fiscal reporting: assesses staff and resource needs of office, program, operation or section based on research and consultation with managers and administrative staff; reviews budget requests from departmental managers; assists in development of annual departmental budget; monitors revenues and/or expenditures; performs fiscal/financial analysis; gathers information and prepares reports related to budget, fiscal, resource and staffing issues.
Ensure managers and staff have most updated policies and procedures in regard to COVID as well as adhere to established workflows when acquiring COVID-related supplies and materials from WWE warehouse.
Supervises the work of assigned staff: plans, assigns, directs and reviews work; monitors and evaluates performance of subordinate personnel; completes performance appraisals and counsels employees; provides training and aids in staff development; fosters cooperation and teamwork amongst staff.
Performs a variety of research and reporting functions: identifies issues; consults with departmental personnel and other individuals/experts; evaluates information and documentation from a wide variety of sources; conducts surveys and needs assessment; gathers, compiles and analyzes statistical and other data; writes reports and prepares documentation for evaluation by management and/or administrative staff; presents reports and data, including formal presentations to groups.
1844 Senior Management Assistant performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, accounting, finance, economics, social sciences, education or related fields, or other subject areas closely related to a specific departmental program or function; AND
Three (3) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level management and/or administrative duties in functional areas such as: program/office/operations management, budget development and/or administration, development and administration of contractual agreements and/or grants, or other closely related functional areas.
Substitution: Applicants may substitute up to 2 years of the required education with additional qualifying experience in program/office/operations management, budget development and/or administration, or contract/grant administration. One year (2000 hours) of additional qualifying experience will be considered equivalent to 30 semester units/45 quarter units.

Experience working or communicating with field staff, which includes non-computer savvy population
