Position Information
Administers all the functions and activities of a diverse customer service section, responsible for a variety of customer services, records maintenance and customer relations programs; and performs other related duties as required.
The current vacancy supervises the overall operations of the Customer Service and Records Section of the Honolulu Board of Water Supply. The position is responsible for the planning and direction of the Section’s operations and administration of customer billing accounts, which includes preparation and processing of water service applications and handling of inquiries and complaints; maintaining water service and customer records/files; overseeing the completion of pending bills and the Customer Relations Program relating to high bill investigations and billing adjustments; providing billing support, including management of the high bill case process; providing oversight to special programs such as agricultural rates and large account management; overseeing the staffing, scheduling, and staff development; developing and implementing the work processes for quality assurance; and coordination of procurement, system implementations and maintenance, and the Section’s budget.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of experience as a Customer Service Representative or similar work involving regular daily interaction with the public on problem resolution activities, the processing of forms and documents, and providing information on procedural, regulatory, legal and/or financial requirements, including or supplemented by one year of supervisory experience or as a Customer Service Representative II.
