Job Description : Our Mission: Home for Families believes that families deserve and have the right to housing, educational, and economic stability.Our Values: Passionate, Inclusive, Genuine, Innovative, AdaptablePosition Overview: The Data Specialist is responsible for database and system oversight used to collect client-level data and service delivery outputs for all housing, education and family stability programming. The Data Specialist monitors performance data, reports and identifies improvements for ongoing quality of all HFF programs. The Data Specialist is a key position in the training, motivation, and monitoring of staff data entry, accuracy, and timeliness, and works in close collaboration with all HFF Department and Teams to ensure data is reported in compliance with grant requirements.Key Responsibilities: · Serves as primary contact for agency databases and primary contact for HMIS and Allita systems with program funders· Monitors and reports on key performance indicators; identifies trends and areas for growth within; assists with ongoing monitoring of compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as other grant requirements· Collaborates with Program Directors to ensure all required service delivery is documented for contract compliance and agency performance measurement· Conducts data validation, collection, and reporting· Works with Program Directors and Senior Director to train new and existing staff and supervisors on appropriate documentation and reporting practices and ensures general maintenance of the electronic record, including adding, deleting and tracking all users· Tracks grant reporting requirements as required by contracts and funders, and coordinates the submission of data and reports in a timely manner· Enters program information into various systems; monitors client data entered by program staff to ensure complete, accurate, and timely entry· Conducts regular reviews of client program files to ensure data entry and integrity compliance· Assists with coordination and preparation for funder audits/monitoring visits· Performs all other duties as assignedQualifications: Embraces the mission of Home for Families and represents the values of the organization on a regular basisMinimum two (2) years’ progressively responsible and successful experience in data analysis, collection, and reportingBachelor’s degree in business, social work or related field preferredExperience with, or capacity to learn, new data systems, visualization techniques and softwareFamiliarity with Columbus’ Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), non-profit database and reporting requirements preferredAdvanced facility in Microsoft Excel and database managementExcellent communication skills and ability to motivate teams to complete quality data entrySuperior ability to translate technical data and analysis into understandable, actionable language for program staffStrong cultural competence and trauma-informed practices, including ability to communicate with a diverse populationExtremely detail-oriented and analyticalCapacity to maintain strict confidentialityAbility to adapt and prioritize to reflect changing program needsSuccessfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screenFully vaccinated for COVID-19 or approved reasonable accommodation on file for suchJob Type: Full-timePay: $45,000.00 – $54,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or approved reasonable accommodation on file for suchExperience:Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
