Dispatchers assure all routes are filled as assigned and bus operators are provided with timely instructions and responses to requests for operational information throughout the day. This position also responds to customer and team inquiries. We hire individuals who make safety and customer service their top priorities. If you have the drive, confidence, and determination to succeed, First Transit is looking for you!Our Dispatchers are responsible for:Review route performance and respond to customer inquiries and needsSell bus passesOversees drivers and acts as liaison between drivers and emergency servicesDaily reports and clerical dutiesDirect calls internallyAct as liaison between the driver and emergency servicesAvailable shifts: 4:00 am to 12:00 pm, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and 9:30 to 5:30 pmTo qualify as a Dispatcher, you’ll need:1 year of customer service, dispatch, or scheduling experience preferredCDL Class C w/passenger endorsement or willingness to acquire itExcellent phone demeanor and customer service skillsAbility to work independentlyExcellent verbal, interpersonal, judgment and problem-solving abilitiesBenefitsWe offer up to $18 an hour including physical and mental health initiatives, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid holiday/vacation.Currently offering up to $2,000 sign on bonus!Diversity & InclusionBecause we’re stronger together, we aspire to have a culture where all people are First.
