Job Description : Job descriptionWe are seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized front desk check in person to join our team in the Jeanes Hospital office. The candidate must be a quick learner, use good judgment, and have great customer service skills. In this role, you will assist with patient check-in/out, insurance verification, patient scheduling, and other duties for the office. Must be available Monday through Friday.ResponsibilitiesCreates a welcoming atmosphere by greeting visitors and patients to the clinicChecks in patients in a timely, friendly manner- willing to jump in at check out if need beOutstanding professional phone management skills: manages a multiline telephone system efficiently and politely, minimizing hold timeComforts patients by answering any questions they may haveObtains patient identification and insurance informationMaintains patient accounts by verifying insurance information and coordinating with relevant insurance websites for authorization purposesKeeps doctor, nurses, medical assistants, and any other related staff abreast of scheduling, patient details, and potential service delayHelps maintain office inventory; may place orders for office supplies and schedule service for office equipment repairsProtects patients’ right of confidentiality; mandatory familiarity with HIPAACoordinates transportation for patients as neededSchedules testing and procedures for patients as necessaryHelps respond to medical emergencies, if necessaryExperience· One to two years’ experience in a medical care officeEducation· High School Diploma or GED equivalentJob Type: Full-timeJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
