Position : General Laborer
Job Description : Geotemps, Inc. is recruiting for a General Laborer position. This position is located about 45 minutes outside of the Fairbanks area on a surface gold mining operation. The General Laborer will perform clean-up tasks and will be trained to operate any equipment as necessary. The position is expected to last 3-6 months.Roles and Responsibilities:Cleanup tasks- snow removal, hosing slurry, cleaning areas around conveyors, and other work areas, and assigned tasksTask trained to operate equipment such as snow blowers, compact, and mid-sized steer loaders, light-duty vehiclesComplete workplace inspection papersScheduling & conducting interviewsReport workplace hazardsQualifications, Technical Skills, and Management Knowledge:Lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyHave and maintain a valid Drivers LicenseAbility to wear a fit-tested respiratorProblem-solving and critical thinking skillsWorking with a team and independentlyCommunication, teamwork, and collaboration skillsMight be exposed to inclement weather (rain/snow/sun/cold/heat)Requirements/Certifications:Safety or steel-toed boots- all other PPE such as hard hat, safety vest, ear, and eye protection are provided by the clientSurface MSHA training will be provided by the clientPre-employment drug screening and criminal background checkJob Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $22.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Laborer: 1 year (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Work Location: One location
