Job Description : JOB TITLE: Learning Experiences Coordinator (K-12)DEPARTMENT: Learning ServicesREPORTS TO: Managing DirectorFLSA STATUS: ExemptJOB TYPE: Full timeSUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Learning Experience Coordinator provides instructional knowledge and leadership on project design teams. The role participates on internal team and client calls with interior design and sales and oversees the instructional message throughout interactions with the Design Team and the client. The Learning Experience Coordinator also is committed to ensuring client-focused instructional input into the design of classroom environments for Educationally Sound Learning Environments; provide teacher onboarding support for how to leverage their new environment through the lens of student-centered learning; and to activate the need for teacher training and coaching.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution. (Prefer – Master’s Degree)Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience.Experience as school-based instructional coach and/or school-based or district administrator.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSDepth of knowledge to speak with expertise and confidence about student-centered learning experiences at all levels and content areas.Growth and development knowledge about optimal student learning experiences at the various developmentally appropriate levels.Relates well to wide variety of audiences.Uses time efficiently to successfully manage multiple assigned projects and responsibilities.Flexibly and smoothly integrates changes within a time schedule or work product.Collaborates as a productive team member, fostering mutual growth.Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills, including virtual and phone conversations.Ability to summarize and synthesize instructional information and produce a written document with pertinent educational information/language for publication.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESProvide instructional support, guidance, and leadership to the design team, per the Learning Design Principles and Framework.Implement the Instructional Design discovery process, per the step in the client journey, to discover the client’s desired instructional plan.Summarize and synthesize instructional information and produce a written document with pertinent educational information/language for publication.Communicate the instructional design deliverables from team and client meetings.Lead the design team to create environments per the client’s desired instructional plan and the environmental supports needed for those interactions and experiences.Ensure research and Learning Design Principles’ alignment with all design projects.Initiate alignment conversations with Managing Director around all projects.Maintain ongoing and effective communication with internal project team members.Initiate and follow through on communications with clients per the step in the client journey.Write Learning Experiences proposals for Learning Experiences Training and Support.Conduct teacher onboard training and/or support for projects.Attend regularly scheduled meetings/training with Best Practice Leader.Articulately and correctly communicate the MeTEOR instructional brand message.Willingly engage in training and coaching to become well-versed in the MeTEOR instructional message, aligned research, the Design Team process, and the Learning Experiences Coordinator’s role.PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
