Job Description : This position is part of a multidisciplinary team. The medical assistant will deliver care and provide coordination of services to clients who have been referred to our agency for mental health and or chemical dependency issues and who are receiving Pharmacological and or Medication Assisted Treatment. The MA will function within the Medical team providing care and coordination of services within the multidisciplinary team and referring agencies.The Primary duties include; screening of client health status, ability to appropriately screen phone requests and coordinate follow up care, to support the function of the medical team, knowledge and utilization of local community resources, timely documentation and delivery of case management services when appropriate.Position requires working with a vast array of mental health clients including those experiencing: severe and persistent mental illness, substance use disorder, children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbance and individuals experiencing homelessness.Candidates must have working knowledge of all aspects and requirements of the position and possess various techniques and skills necessary for efficient completion of tasks, including knowledge of human development and the social environment, assessment, treatment planning, treatment, etc.Education: Certified Medical Assistant with Associate’s Degree or 3 years minimum of experience.Experience: Preferred experience in working with clients with Mental Health and or Substance Use disorders.Benefits include:On Site- SupervisionHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceShort Term Disability insuranceLong Term Disability insurance401K Retirement PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramJob Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 – $22.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayApplication Question(s):Willing to have a background check and drug screen completedEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)License/Certification:Certified Medical Assistant (Required)Work Location: One location
