Position : Machine Operator
Job Description : *JOB Summary: *We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain, and operate a CTL (cut-to-length) Machine, to produce copper tubing per customer specifications. The Machine Operator will ensure the efficient running of production, with attention to detail and safety standards.*Essential Duties** Operates machine (a free-standing CNC straight tube cutoff machine) and uses hand tools skillfully.* Reads and interprets shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.* Sets up machines and perform change overs.* Perform assigned preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery.* Complete shop orders as defined.* Math calculations (Converts feet into inches and subtracts with use of a calculator)* Maintain and secure work tools.* Clean and maintain work area.* Turn off equipment when not in use.* Sweep daily, dispose of scrap properly, and maintain the workplace in a safe and orderly manner.*Education AND/OR Experience: *High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic reading, writing, and some advanced arithmetic skills required.*Physical Demands: *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (will be on feet all day); walk; use hands to fingers handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
