You are passionate about franchisee success, understand geographically dispersed, multi-unit operations, customer service focussed, detail oriented, a natural problem solver, a strong communicator and highly motivated.REPORTS TO: Director, Franchise Services & OperationsLOCATION: Metal Supermarkets Corporate (Remote TBD)RENUMERATION: – $110-$120k CND plus competitive annual performance incentiveOBJECTIVE: Develop, support and deliver a culture of continuous improvement within the Business Consultant team. Direct and maintain operational excellence across the Metal Supermarkets North American franchise network, ensuring franchise compliance while strengthening & building positive relationships. Coach and mentor the Business Consultants, Franchisees and corporate store managers to deliver profitable, sustainable & successful growth, enhancing the Metal Supermarkets’ brand. Champion a customer centric approach focusing on the Mission, Vision & Core Values of Metal Supermarkets.PRIMARY FUNCTION: · Supervise, direct and serve as main point of contact for the Business Consultant group and the corporate store managers· Ensure balanced operational & resource effectiveness through analysis of key performance metrics, project/resource planning & the implementation of timely, appropriate & innovative action plans to address gaps, inefficiencies, or sub-standard performance within the network· Develop initiatives for improving communications effectiveness & relations with Business Consultants & the Franchisee networkKEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: · Monitor, measure, supervise, train, motivate and evaluate the Business Consultant and corporate store manager teams· Assess and report on individual & team performance; implement action plans ensuring Business Consultants have a clear understanding of the delivery of effective field support, efficiency, service, sales and operational targets, and completing tasks effectively· Support values such as integrity, entrepreneurship, teamwork, recognition, commitment, focusing on customer service, quality, profitability and success for the Franchise network· Monitor, measure & evaluate sales and effectively address gaps and provide input and initiatives to improve network wide performance· Ensure high-quality execution and implementation of Franchisor led initiatives· Proactively problem solve & address concerns in a prompt, professional approach· Potentially direct manage selected franchisee relationships· Ensure store customer satisfaction and retention rates are in line with business goals· Foster & monitor quality of work & adherence to Metal Supermarkets policies, procedures and Standards· Collaborate with Marketing department to develop targeted marketing plansQUALIFICATIONS: · 5 – 7 years of experience in a multi-unit management role with direct reports, preferably Franchising· Highly driven & motivated team player· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team and demonstrate initiative· Strategic thinker, solutions focused· Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, proactive, positive approach to situations· Direct operational management experience with Profit and Loss accountability· Excellent organizational and time management skills· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills· Degree in Business Administration, Management or relevant field· Flexible, adaptable to challenges and changing priorities· Availability to travel throughout Canada and the United States 25-30% of the time· Competent with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)· Experience working with ERP systems, quick learner and adapts easily to new environments· Experience in metal industry not required but considered an assetWhat’s in it for YOU?As a Metal Supermarkets team member, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a growing, fast-paced team doing big things.
