Job Description : We seek a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join an innovative medical practice specializing in women’s health, cosmetic surgery, aesthetic services and anti-aging medicine. The right candidate must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and have great people skills, with excellent knowledge of the medical and spa industry.We are a busy medical aesthetic practice in Honolulu focusing on women’s health and rejuvenation. We offer in-office medical treatments as well as cosmetic laser treatments, bringing a full array of services to our practice. Our laser services include non-invasive body contouring, skin resurfacing and rejuvenation, laser hair reduction, and feminine rejuvenation.Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.Prepares patients for examination by taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.Helps with office procedures and data entry; including but not limited to patient check in, updating documents and collecting copays/balances.Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, including but not limited to drawing blood; performing basic laboratory tests such as pregnancy and urine tests.Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician.Secures patient information by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.Updating and filing patient medical records.Schedules surgeries by making arrangements with the surgical center; verifying times with patients; preparing charts, pre-admission and consent forms.Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.Maintains high level of patient care; offers friendly, prompt, and courteous service both in-person and over the phone.Comforts patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties; answering patients’ questions.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.Works assigned schedule. Arrives and departs from their shift on time.Completes all assigned side work and is detail-oriented.Attends all scheduled meetings.Attends scheduled professional trainings.Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team.Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.Other duties as assigned.Education/TrainingMinimum:Medical assistant certificationExperienceMinimum:1-5 years experience in medical field, preferable Ob/Gyn.1-5 years experience in spa or medispa industry, a plus.Skills/KnowledgeMinimum:Excellent customer service skills and work ethic.Maintain infection control, creating a safe, effective environment.Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.Professional manner and appearance, discrete. Good bedside manner.Developed communication skills, including telephone, verbal, and written skills.Strong team player.Flexibility, time management, organization.Scheduling, word processing, quality focus.Computer proficient. Social media skills a plus.Basic credit card transaction and cash box skills.A competitive benefits package is offered.
