We have an immediate opening for a Passenger Vehicle Operator at the Leesburg Senior Center in Leesburg, VA.
The Leesburg Senior Center serves a thriving and diverse community of seniors in the Leesburg area. If you enjoy working with a team of dedicated professionals and are passionate about working with the senior population, this could be the position you’ve been looking for. This position will operate a passenger vehicle to provide transportation for seniors from their homes to the center and to other programs, activities, and trips.
Duties include but are not limited to:Driving a passenger vehicle for transportation of adults 55+Maintaining a safe and clean vehicleComplete and maintain daily logs, reports, and other required program records and statistics. This includes using automated systems and softwareInteract with a diverse senior populationAssist with center activities and programs, including set up, clean up, serving lunch, and other duties that are essential to center operationsServes as a backup to front desk customer service staffRequires excellent customer service through communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse population while maintaining participant confidentiality at all timesWill assist with coordination of the Home Delivered Meal program at Dulles South Senior Center

Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
HIRING RANGE: $37,229.23- $49,328.73
Salary Commensurate with Experience
Special Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSix (6) months of experience dealing with the general public, including working with seniors or other special population groups, is preferred.CDL license preferred at time of hire, however, assistance may be provided to the successful candidate to obtain the appropriate CDL license within 6 months of hire..
Post Conditional Offer Contingencies
Successful candidates will undergo criminal background and DMV record checks.Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required.CPR and First Aid Certification are required and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.CDL license within 6 months of hire.The incumbent of this position must comply with the DOT
regulations and Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Policy for Transportation Employees.
