Job Description : Advance Storage Products is the country’s leading manufacturer of pushback systems, producing nearly half of systems sold in the US. Our warehouse pallet racking solutions are used in major installations for many Fortune 500 companies.Advance’s state of the art rack system manufacturing facilities in Cedartown, Georgia and Salt Lake City, Utah were designed from the ground up, specifically to produce structural pallet rack and pushback industrial storage systems. The integrated production process ensures on time delivery, proper sequencing of production and excellent quality at competitive prices, for all types of rack projects for warehouses and distribution centers in the US and abroad.Advance is looking for a Plant Controller to support Utah and Georgia manufacturing operations as well as to Corporate leadership. This position will be a visible, proactive, hands-on business partner to management and will provide relevant and timely financial and operational data, reporting, analysis and advice to support financial improvement and growth.RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with operating teams in both plants to ensure transactional integrity and accuracy in support of the data needs of the Accounting team Prepare and distribute weekly, plant performance metrics (KPIs) and provide analysis and insights for factory management Review, analyze and report on monthly plant financial performance (materials, labor and overhead) in support of the monthly financial closing process Make recommendations for and lead continuous improvement efforts Reconcile key inventory and variance accounts on a monthly basis Evaluate (quantify & qualify) capital expenditure requests Collaborate with corporate and plant level management to develop annual financial plans and periodic projections Maintain raw material and component costs in ERP and quoting systems Update factory shop rates as required in ERP and quoting systems Coordinate physical inventories and monitors cycle count program – provide plant management with analysis of significant variances and recommendations to improve inventory accuracyACCOUNTABILITIES Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cost Accounting & Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and related accounting procedures Accurate and timely reporting, reconciliation and reviews engaging others as needed to ensure thorough review Maintain a presence on the shop floor including periodic travel between manufacturing plants Finance/Accounting workflow is continually improved and policy and procedures are documented and current while a high level of accuracy is maintained Adapt to changing priorities while working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: $105,000.00 – $125,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveTuition reimbursementVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:Advance follows all CDC guidelines to protect the health and safety of all Advance team members.Work Location: One location
